How To Feel Confident, Even If You’re Running A Fear Of Failure?
Welcome to this week’s Soul-Sized Wednesday video. Today I’m spilling the beans on how to feel confident, even if you have a fear of failure.
Bottom line?
It’s not about ‘getting rid’ of your fear of failure.
It’s about learning to accept that it’s a pattern that you run, but also reclaiming your power to choose whether or not to feed that fear – or whether you’d rather feed the stories that leave you feeling confident and empowered, instead.
And when you have watched the video, I’d love to know:
- What are you going to do to remind yourself that you are confident?
- What difference might this make for you?
- If you choose not to do this, what are you going to miss out on? Is that enough leverage for you?
With love, Namaste,
P.S. Want to really dive in? Here’s a top tip: a daily gratitude practice is an incredible way to shift from negative thinking and feeding your Inner Critic to feeling happier and more positive.
And people tell me that they love the head start that my 7 day Gratitude Kick Start programme gives them. Want to join us? It’s yours, as my gift. Here’s where to register now: www.ClareJosa.com/Gratitude-Kick-Start. See you there? xx Clare
I’ve been afraid to try yoga for years, although I’ve always harboured a secret desire to do so. It was much easier to feed the story” I’m too old, too overweight, too uncoordinated” to even try. Well, I joined a class of beginners like me, all ages, all shapes, all sizes. We had a tremendous class and I’ve now been going for over a month – and plan to continue. That mountain of fear is now a molehill. And my arthritic knees complain a bit, but only at first, then they get over it and just feel warm! All those years of fear and worrying for nothing. It’s so easy to give in to the story, and so much easier to overcome it if you recognize it for what it is – a story only! Thanks, Claire – your inspiration helped me greatly!
So proud of you Renate! And honoured to have been of service xx
I try to catch myself smiling after I do something I feel was a bit challenging for me. And now, I try to stop at that and acknowledge the “I did good” feeling … Really, right then, I know how awesome I can be !
Great video! My friend bought me a journal book for Christmas which said on the front “This is a journal to prove to myself that I am doing my best, despite any circumstances” I am going to schedule time in my diary to make sure I write something in it at least once a week, if not more often, to remember the positive, confidence boosting things that happen to me – for example this week a lovely email from someone regarding my website that I launched this week, despite my massive fear of the whole thing going down the toilet! Because I know if I don’t then I will give into my fear of failure and become a self fulfilling prophecy.
